Today in the Hall of the Council of Municipality Shtip, was held a Public hearing on the Study for Environmental Impact Assessment for the project – Construction of embankment dam with associated facilities “Otinja”.

This public debate was attended by the Mayor of Municipality Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarski, the president of the Council of Municipality Shtip, Jane Milanov, representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, forestry and water economy, representatives of the Municipality of Shtip from the Department of Environment as well as interested citizens.

„With this we fulfil one more important task in order to approve all the technical documentation which are necessary to issue a building permit for the construction of the Dam on the river Otinja.

We have already held a public debate on the Detailed Urban plan that is being drafted and it is currently being reviewed and then we expect to get the approval from the Ministry of transport and communications and to be adopted on a meeting by the Council of Municipality Shtip” said Mayor Bochvarski.

Municipality of Shtip has received a basic project with a full revision and it is expected to obtain approval from the Ministry of Environment, as a document that will be an integral part of the basic project.

These documents will be submitted to the Ministry of Transport and communications for approval for the construction of this very important project, dam on the river Otinja.
