In the past few days, Mayor Bochvarski paid a visit to the twin town Split, at the invitation of the Mayor of Split, Andro Krstulovikj on the occasion of the patron of the city “St.Due”.

This visit is after a long period in order to raise the cooperation to a higher level, because the Municipality of Shtip and the town of Split signed a twinning contract in 1980.

Mayor Bochvarski pointed out that the cooperation with Split will continue with greater intensity in several fields.

One of the more important things in culture where Shtip and Split can exchange experiences are the pop music festival “Makfest” and the Split Festival.

For the Municipality of Shtip a great significance are the experiences in application of European projects that will mean development of our city and this is why we expect a visit by the Mayor of Split in our city.
