The Mayor of Municipality Shtip, Blagoj Bochvarski together with the Director of the veterinary station Shtip inspected the work of the shelter for homeless animals.

This is a project where homeless animals are grown. In this object Municipality of Shtip through the public enterprises invested 1 million MKD.

„Municipality of Shtip through PE “Stipion” and the PE “Isar” worked on building a shelter for the needs of our city for the homeless animals.

This is an investment of about 1 million MKD where the majority of the investment is completed by the public enterprise of Stipion with the production of prefabricated cages and a platform for homeless animals, and together with the public company Isar completed all the procedures for this facility to function this object.

I believe that the citizens will be pleased to solve this problem with the homeless dogs and this is one of the examples of how the Municipality of Shtip overcomes the problems in the city”, said Bochvarski. 

Municipality of Shtip is communicating with the Agency of food and veterinary agency for issuing an authorization for using a shelter, and currently has a valid permit for 6 months.

At the moment there is an agreement for urgent work with the veterinary station in Shtip to treat the homeless animals on the territory of Shtip.

„Currently there are 27 dogs on the location at Senjak and at the pioneer home. All of these animals that are here are examined and vaccinated against rabies and some of them are castrated.

In the upcoming period all these dogs that will be here will be chipped, vaccinated and vaccinated”, added the director of the veterinary station.
